As American graduates, we understand the importance of education and equal opportunities. We appreciate the benefits of Dream Act which orients its priority on education. We are going to keep supporting the program and to fight any unfairness against Dreamers. We have been opposing building the Mexico-United States barrier. It is a true form of family separation.
Recently, the bill S.386/H.R.1044 caught our attention. We believe it will devastate the talents brought by STEM graduates and would also potentially harm DACA candidates and TPS recipients. If these programs are ended, those DACA recipients who have been waiting for a transition to employment-based visas would have to leave the country and wait for green cards outside the United States for more than ten years.
